Delete your account
You can delete your Kardio account yourself at any time. Everything tied to it is removed: your profile, decks and cards, study progress, reviews you wrote, uploaded documents, and your sign-in details.
In the app (quickest)
- Open Kardio and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab and tap the Settings (gear) button.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Read the warning and tap Delete.
- Enter your password to confirm (if you signed up with Google, you will be asked to sign in with Google again).
- Tap Delete forever. The app shows each step as it removes your data, then signs you out.
By email (if you cannot sign in)
Send an email to coopj1978@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my Kardio account", from the email address your account uses. We will delete the account within 7 days and confirm by reply. If you write from a different address we may ask a question or two to make sure it is really you.
What gets deleted
- Your account and sign-in (email/password or Google link)
- Profile: username, display name, bio, avatar
- All decks and cards you own, including public ones
- Your study progress, streaks and statistics
- Reviews and ratings you left on other people's decks
- Documents and images you uploaded
- Your blocked list
What is kept
- Copies other users made of your public decks before you deleted your account — those copies belong to them and no longer link to you.
- Reports you filed about other content, in anonymised form, so we can spot repeat problems.
- Backups held by our hosting provider, which are overwritten on their normal schedule — all of your data is erased within 30 days.
